To get a new NADRA Smart CNIC in Pakistan, citizens turning 18 must visit any NADRA Registration Center (NRC). Bring your original B-Form (CRC), original matric certificate or birth certificate, father and mother's original CNICs, and one blood relative for mandatory biometric cross-verification. Normal delivery fee is PKR 750 (31 working days), Urgent is PKR 1,500 (15 working days), and Executive is PKR 2,500 (7 working days).

To get a NADRA B-Form (Child Registration Certificate / CRC) for children under 18 in Pakistan, parents must first obtain a Computerized Birth Certificate from their local Union Council or Cantonment Board. Then, visit any NADRA Registration Center with the birth certificate and original CNICs of both parents. Normal processing fee is PKR 50, Executive counter processing is PKR 500.

As of 2026, official NADRA Smart CNIC fees are: Normal PKR 750 (31 working days), Urgent PKR 1,500 (15 working days), and Executive PKR 2,500 (7 working days). Family Registration Certificate (FRC) costs PKR 1,000. Overseas NICOP fees range from $20 to $79 USD depending on country zone.

To track your NADRA application status, send your 12-digit Tracking ID via SMS to 8400 (cost approx PKR 2+tax) or check online for free at id.nadra.gov.pk by logging into your account under "Track Application". You will see status updates such as In-Process, Printed, or Dispatched via TCS/Pakistan Post.

To renew an expired CNIC online in Pakistan or from abroad, download the official Pak-ID mobile app or log in to id.nadra.gov.pk. Create an account, choose "Renewal", scan your fingerprints using your smartphone camera, upload a white-background photo, pay the processing fee (Normal PKR 750, Urgent PKR 1,500, Executive PKR 2,500 + delivery), and receive your card at your doorstep.

Family Registration Certificate (FRC) is an official NADRA document validating your family tree records. It comes in 3 types: By Birth (with parents & siblings), By Marriage (with spouse & children), or By Adoption. Official fee is PKR 1,000. Online applications submitted via id.nadra.gov.pk deliver a verified PDF document directly to your email within hours.

National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is issued to Pakistani citizens residing abroad or holding dual nationality. Apply 100% online via id.nadra.gov.pk. NICOP allows visa-free entry into Pakistan and full civil rights. Fees depend on country zone: Zone A (USA, UK, Canada, Europe) costs $39 (Normal), $59 (Urgent), $79 (Executive); Zone B (Middle East, GCC) costs $20 (Normal), $39 (Urgent), $59 (Executive).
